Aggressive Skating: Skating on the Streets

Aggressive skatingAggressive Skating is a style of rollerblading that consists of tricks, jumps, and grinds. This style of skating isn't typically performed in skate parks, but rather on the street using available stairs, benches, rails, etc.

It is very similar to skateboarding and some of the extreme jumps and tricks familiar to skateboarders are also used by Aggressive Skaters.

Because Aggressive Skating, also called aggressive rollerblading, requires lots of hard jumps, these skaters wear aggressive inline skates designed to handle the demanding pressures of Aggressive Skating.

Skate Park Rollerblading

Aggressive Skating in a special park that includes things such as rails and steps is called "Park Skating"; Vert Skating is Aggressive Skating that is performed in a half pipe; and Street Skating of course, is performed on the street.

Aggressive skating is a culture unto itself, and if you're a teen looking for some adventure with inline skating, then this is an area to explore with your friends.

Aggressive Skating and Inline Skates

Aggressive Skating requires inline skates that can handle the jumps and grinds (or skating down the rails). These inline skates are also designed to withstand the extreme pressure and demands that are placed upon them.

There are specific companies that specialize in the manufacture and sales of inline skates that are designed for use in Aggressive Skating. Before you purchase a pair of Aggressive Skates, make you should know what features you want in your skate, based on how you plan to participate in aggressive skating.

Aggressive Skating: Have Fun

Even though its name implies that aggressive skating is a rough sport, the underlying and most important feature about aggressive rollerblading is to have fun.

This is more than extreme sports at its finest, it is a way of life, and combined with safety, practicality, and a respect for community property, this is a fun sport for anyone with a taste for adventure.
